The Apostle Paul Wrote many different letters, some of which have been preserved through time and we can read those in Scripture. All of Paul's letters that we still have today give those to whom he is writing to some sort of commendation. Actually, all of them except one, and that one was the letter to the Galatians. 

The church at Galatia was really fond of justification by the law. They were teaching and preaching that if you did the good works that the Law of Moses prescribed, then God would be more pleased with them. However, God doesn't work this way, he has always granted salvation by grace through faith. However, the Galatians hadn't quite understood this concept.
